Stanford Report: AI is Now Part of Everyday Life
The State of AI Index 2025 by Stanford’s Institute for Human-Centered AI highlights AI’s growing role in society and business. For instance, 223 AI-powered medical devices were approved by the FDA in 2023, compared to just six in 2015. While 39% of U.S. respondents and 47% of Germans see more benefits than drawbacks to AI, China’s agreement rate is much higher at 83%. The report notes China is closing the gap with the U.S. on top AI models, while the cost of AI systems has dropped significantly. However, with AI’s integration into daily life, incidents like deepfake abuse and algorithmic discrimination have also risen by over 50%.
